The Jewish Ethicist provides a thoughtful analysis of everyday ethical dilemmas based on the lessons of Jewish tradition. Each week the column analyzes one true-life ethical question, usually from the workplace or the marketplace, and provides guidance based on Jewish sources and clear ethical principles. The object is to present the relevant ethical principles, not to give a simplistic prescription. The column provides ethical guidance to readers of all faiths and backgrounds.
The column is written by the Center's Research Director, Rabbi Dr. Asher Meir, who also writes a second weekly column entitled Ethics at Work.

What the Readers Say…
"Thank you very much for your detailed perspective. Your guidance will help me move forward in my career with a clear conscience. There is plenty of sales instruction available today; however, very little dealing with the moral and ethical components of the sales process. I look forward to working with my customers and employer successfully and ethically in the future." (D.B., Washington D.C.)
"I just want to say thank you for your wonderful E-Mail column. Even when I think I 'know' the answer or am not so thrilled with the question, by the time I'm finished reading I have always found it interesting, well-written and thought provoking." (E.Z., Florida)
"I just want you to know how much I learn from and enjoy your column. I find the topics you present to be relevant to many aspects of my daily life. Your examples and sources are intellectually stimulating and a very interesting way to learn Torah concepts. Thank you very much." (J.D.)
